Mennonite in a Little Black Dress
This might be the girliest book I read in 2010, but it was totally worth it for all the Mennonite stuff. I married someone very like the author, and it's just priceless to now have a book that I can point to and say, "See! Read this, and then you'll know how weird and wonderful the Mennonites are." So much of this hits close to home, down to the relatives in Bielefeld, Germany.
One caveat: Janzen really undersells Varenika, the insanely tasty, little cheese dumplings that the Mennonites make.
