Old Man's War
One day, I wandered into a bookstore to kill some time, only to realize too late that it was a sci-fi only shop. I like scifi, sort of, even though I always find it disappointing. I was assisted by some very enthusiastic booksellers, who recommended (among a dozen other novels) Old Man's War.
So here's what I can say about this book: it's kind of dumb, but it keeps the pages turning. Like all scifi, it has a couple of marginally interesting ideas, and like most scifi those ideas are all fleshed out by page 100.
