Divorce

An early book of Williams' poetry. It's not great, but it's full of the beginnings of CW's fascinating ideas.

Noted on October 28, 2014

From 'Divorce', the long poem about his father's death:
Now, now the work all men must do
Is mightily begun in you;
And the sure-cutting days
Leave you, disfurnished, dispossessed
of earth ...

Now, now in you the great divorce
Begins...
Divorce, sole healer of divorce...
Divorce, itself for God and Lord
By the profounder creeds adored
