Sir Gawain and the Green Knight

This is an amazingly fresh translation of a very old poem, brought to my attention by Robin Sloan's email newsletters. The language is highly alliterative, and thus very fun to read out loud - I read big passages of it to my kids, who were fairly into it!

Then, on Boxing Day, Robin Sloan did a live webcast of him reading the poem straight through - and my family listened to almost the whole thing. We drew pictures and built legos and did other things with our hands, and I gave small glosses of the action when the kids couldn't keep up. It was great.
