Marco Polo: Dangers and Visions

The graphic novel is interspersed with these big, complicated set drawings, many of which are like medieval maps. Total matt catnip. Mattnip. The story is kaleidiscopic and dreamlike, even lyrical. It's not at all the kind of adventure you expect when someone says 'The Travels of Marco Polo, but in a graphic novel.'

I'm a sucker for stuff in this era of early, early exploration, and this graphic novel hits a lot of Matt's Interest Categories. Cool drawings! Intricate maps! Faux Medieval artwork! It's got frigging Prester John on the cover!
