Klara and the Sun

This is VERY Ishiguro; like a clear mashup of Remains of the Day and Never Let Me Go. I listened on audiobook, which makes me always a little more forgiving of tedium (weirdly! since it takes longer!). But this was sweet, pretty obvious, although I think paced a bit weird. There's this really nice, deft buildup that points to a big plot reveal. And then nothing really happens with that? I mean, it's technically resolved in the plot but the emotional punch of it never really gets resolved. Feels like it's missing a chapter somewhere.
