Ice
Picked it up to read in the Utah mountains in December. Seemed appropriate. This is a VERY weird, stream of consciousness-ish story. The protagonist is obsessed with a woman and has visions of overwhelming, crushing ice whenever she's around. He tries to rescue her from some unspecified threat, and seems to slip into apocalyptic visions that may or may not be actually happening? It is kaleidoscopic, in that it's just full of fragments and reflections and revisions of things and there is very little sense of what is supposed to be actually happening, and it's very clearly not the point. You don't look into a kaleidoscope to see something clearly!
